Walter Launches Supreme Micro Drill DB133 and Boot Drill DB131

Walter's external cold micro-drill DB133 Supreme has established itself in the field of precision parts processing worldwide. Now, the company from Tubingen, Germany, is showcasing two new developments in the micro-drill: the db133 Supreme (strong) of the overall carbide micro-drill with internal cooling, with sizes of 5, 8 and 12 times diameter, and the db131 Supreme (strong) diameter, which is perfectly matched with the drill tip and diameter tolerances. Both drills cover a diameter range of 0.7 mm to 1.984 mm, and the guide drills are available in sizes from 0.5 mm. Combined effects are greater than you think. With the new slot design, chips are shorter and more reliable to drain. The special cutting edge treatment process achieves excellent workpiece surface quality and ensures longer tool life.

Walter's new product further improves the long diameter ratio and the required drill depth match, resulting in a series of miniature drills. The series guarantees maximum processing stability with its strong cutting edges and optimized structural design. Both of Walter's miniature drills are available in WJ30EL material with ultra-fine particle carbide and AlCrN overall coating, and the DB133 Supreme (Strong) also offers WJ30ER materials with ultrafine particle carbide and AlCrN tool head coatings. The drill and guide drill can be used with emulsifiers or cutting oils and are suitable for all ISO workpiece material groups.
