Effect of heat treatment process on material properties
The phase transition point of the steel grade was tested on the DL805L phase change tester of BAHR company in Germany with a small sample of 4mmx10mm: Ac1=760℃, Ac3=790℃
The large axle load axle is put into use after normalizing and tempering, so the mechanical properties of the billet is used to simulate the use state of the axle
(Mm) The 200×200×200 large sample shall be normalized and tempered as a whole.
The sampling location of the mechanical performance test is shown in Figure 2. Select 850℃ normalizing, and test with 5 different tempering temperatures. After normalizing for 4.5 hours, the samples were cooled in still air at room temperature, tempered for 5.0 hours, and air cooled at room temperature. It can be seen from the curve in Figure 3 that as the tempering temperature increases, the tensile strength and yield strength decrease, and the starting strength value at 630°C is less than the standard requirement. As the tempering temperature increases, the elongation and reduction of area gradually increase. However, the increase in elongation and reduction of area is not obvious after 615℃. The impact energy can meet the standard requirements, and the transverse impact energy is slightly lower than the longitudinal impact energy. In order to achieve the best matching of various properties, the best heat treatment process is to adopt 850℃ normalizing + (615±15)℃ tempering heat treatment.
The test results of Beijing Academy of Railway Sciences are yield strength of 420MPa, tensile strength of 755MPa, elongation of 23%, reduction of area 54.5%, average longitudinal impact energy of 50J, and average transverse impact energy of 43.8J.
The performance of the steel billet after being made into the axle
Daye Special Steel produces 260mm×260mm and 280mmx
The 280mm axle billet LZ45CrⅤ was sent to two axle factories in Tongling and Lianyuan. After making different types of axles, the axle dissection specimens were sent to Beijing Academy of Railway Sciences for testing. All technical indicators met the design requirements of the Ministry of Railways. Currently preparing for axle fatigue test.
(1) The new type of 1Z45CrV axle billet produced by reasonable internal control composition, appropriate smelting process, large ingot die casting and controlled rolling process has high purity and fine grains. It has been tested by the Beijing Institute of Iron and Technology and has a yield strength of 420MPa and a The tensile strength is 755MPa, the elongation rate is 23%, the reduction of area is 54.5%, the average longitudinal impact energy is 50J, and the average transverse impact energy is 43.8J. All meet the design requirements of the Ministry of Railways
(2) After Daye Special Steel's LZ45CrV billet is made into axles, all technical indexes of axle dissection specimens meet the design requirements of the Ministry of Railways.
(3) The best heat treatment process for axle billets is 850℃ normalizing+
(615±15) ℃ tempering, the structure is scattered small ferrite and pearlite.
