How can China become a manufacturing power and a power? At the summer summit hosted by Beijing News, Yu Yongding, a member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, said China needed a relatively complete industrial system if it wanted to become a manufacturing power. In addition, after the idea of Making China a manufacturing power is determined, China's entire education system and scientific research system should also be changed accordingly. The high income of the financial industry and virtual economy is not conducive to the young people's involvement in China's real economy and manufacturing industry.

First of all, To become a manufacturing power, China must not only have a strong manufacturing capacity, capable of producing high-precision machinery and equipment, but also has a relatively complete industrial system, Yu said. In other words, we should be able to produce not only high-precision machines and equipment, but also so-called labor-intensive products.

"With which wage costs and other costs, such as environmental spending, there has been a shift in the industrial chain to lower-cost Southeast Asia. We should allow some enterprises to move out, from the point of view of the national interest, rather than allowing enterprises to move to Southeast Asia, rather than to encourage enterprises to move to the mainland and western regions. Compared with the southeast coastal areas, labor costs in the western region are relatively low. Yu Yongding also pointed out that the western region is facing transportation problems and other problems, the government should increase infrastructure investment in the western region. In doing so, on the one hand, creating conditions for the internal transfer of the industry, on the other hand, stimulates economic growth, both sides.

Secondly, after the idea of making China a manufacturing power is determined, China's entire education system and scientific research system should be changed accordingly. China needs not only financial, legal and scientific personnel, but also more engineers and technicians. The state pays insufficient attention to the education of skills training. Our education system needs to be adjusted, we must train the great-power artisan reserve army, the training of down-to-earth entrepreneurs reserve army. In addition, our distribution system should be adjusted. The high income of the financial industry and virtual economy is not conducive to the young people's involvement in China's real economy and manufacturing industry.

"In short, China must start by changing its mindset, adjusting the direction of training people in the education system and creating incentives, not only to maintain its position as a manufacturing power, but also to build it into a manufacturing power that can rival Germany, Japan and the United States." Yu Yongding said.
