What to pay attention to when machining CNC aluminum alloy cavity

The CNC machining center is mainly used for the processing of key parts such as mold cores, inserts and copper molds. The quality of the mold core and inserts directly determines the quality of the molded part of the mold. Where should we pay attention to CNC machining aluminum alloy cavity in normal production?

1. Precautions for front mold processing
① Tool path sequence: big knife surface grooving tool path is rough, small knife contour contour tool path is rough, big knife (ball knife) parallel milling tool light knife small knife parallel milling tool light knife. The front molds are generally equipped with matching copper males, mainly with rough tool paths, supplemented by local curved light tools.
②It has a parting surface and a pillow surface. When adding together, the parting surface pillow surface is processed in place without leaving a margin, and the cavity part has a margin of 0.2-0.5 to make sparks. If there is only a young male, leave a margin of 0.3. If there are both young and old males, a margin of 0.5 can be reserved. The margin of the front mold can be kept at 0.1, for the front and rear molds.
③ Use a large-diameter round-nosed knife (knife handle) when opening thick. If the diameter of the tool is too small, it is easy to break the knife and spring the knife. Try to use it in the middle.
④The tool path range in curved surface machining is calculated based on the movement path of the tool center axis, that is, the actual machining area is one tool radius larger than one side of the selected tool path range limit box, and the tool path range limit box parameters should be set reasonably. Avoid processing beyond the actual processing needs.
⑤ The material of the front mold is hard, so check carefully before processing to reduce errors and cannot be easily welded!
2. Precautions for rear mold processing
① Rear die tool path sequence: large knife surface grooving tool path is rough, small knife limit range surface grooving roughing, angle clearance, large knife (ball knife) parallel milling tool path smooth, small knife (ball knife) parallel milling tool path limitation Range of angle-clearing, smooth knife, flat knife and other high-profile toolpaths.
②The material of the back mold is the same as that of the front mold. Use a round nose knife (knife handle) as much as possible.
