UDI Column (7) - Udi Management Mode of Medical Supplies, and See How China-Japan Friendship Hospital Is Analyzed

The fine management of medical supplies is the focus of national and industry concern, and udi management of medical supplies is the prerequisite and foundation for its clinical fine management. At present, different medical supplies management mode is different, there are medical institutions within the self-built code-giving management model, there is the State Drug Administration currently piloted UDI management, but there are retrospective data and "data island" problem. Based on the hospital's exploration practice, this study introduces an UDI information management platform based on industrial Internet medical supplies, which realizes the udi data management of high-value medical supplies and low-value medical supplies through comprehensive management mode and point-to-point mode respectively, and truly realizes the dynamic management of the whole life cycle production, circulation, clinical application, static data and data of the state supervision link.

Medical supplies are important medical materials, and their safety specifications are related to the patient's life safety and the legal compliance of clinical practice. As a physical carrier of clinical applications, medical supplies are widely characterized, standards are not uniform, wide range of applications, large number of uses, management difficulties and more blind spots, in order to achieve its safety application and standardized management, the need for medical supplies supply chain in different countries and regions of the participants in accordance with the standards to achieve unified management. The unique identification of medical devices (unique device, UDI) is the "id card" of medical devices, as an information carrier, its application for the safety and standard management of medical supplies provides a retrospective basis for the realization of the medical supplies full life cycle supply chain of different involved in the tracking management of the data.
