Thrust bearings are divided into thrust ball bearings and thrust roller bearings.

Thrust ball bearings are divided into thrust ball bearings and thrust angle contact ball bearings. The raceway circle, which is made up of washers with the raceway and the ball and cage assembly, is called the shaft ring and the raceway ring with the shell is called the seat ring. Two - way bearings will be center ring and shaft. One - way bearings can withstand one- axial load, two - way bearings can withstand two- axial load. The bearings with spherical surfaces of the mounting surface of the seat ring have adjustment performance and can reduce the effect of installation error. These bearings are mainly used in automotive steering mechanisms and machine spindles.

Thrust roller bearings are divided into thrust cylinder roller bearings, thrust-centered roller bearings, thrust cone roller bearings, thrust roller bearings.

Thrust cylindrical roller bearings are mainly used in oil drilling rigs and iron - making machinery.

Thrust-adjusting roller bearings This type of bearing is mainly used in hydraulic generators, vertical motors, ship propeller shafts, tower cranes, extrusions and so on.

Thrust cone roller bearings such bearings are mainly used for: one-way: crane hooks, oil drilling rig rings. Two-way: rolling mill roll neck.

Plane thrust bearings are mainly subject to axial loads in assemblies, and are widely used. Although the thrust bearing installation operation is relatively simple, but the actual maintenance is still often an error, that is, the bearing tight ring and loose ring installation position is not correct, the result of the bearing lost action, the shaft neck was quickly worn. The tight ring is mounted on the end face of the stationary piece, i.e. the wrong assembly. The inner ring of the tight ring and the shaft neck are the transition altogether, when the shaft rotates, and friction occurs with the end face of the stationary piece, when the axial force (Fx), the frictional moment will be greater than the inner diameter with the resistance moment, resulting in the tight ring and the shaft mating surface forced rotation, aggravating the shaft neck wear.
