Characteristics of copper and copper alloys:

1. Good physical and chemical properties, excellent thermal conductivity, good electrical conductivity, non-magnetic, no sparks during collision, and strong corrosion resistance

2. Good processing performance.

Pure copper, also known as red copper, has good thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance and welding performance, low strength, and excellent plasticity. It is widely used in electrical, thermal and corrosion-resistant devices. There are four industrial pure copper grades: T1, T2, T3, and T4. The larger the serial number, the lower the purity. Pure copper is mainly used for structural parts that require both electrical and thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance, such as electrical appliances and motors.

Copper alloys can be divided into brass, bronze, and cupronickel according to the added alloying elements.

1. Aluminum bronze: It is the most widely used one. It has better strength and wear resistance than brass and tin bronze. It is often used in gears, friction plates, and other parts that require high strength and high wear resistance.

2. Beryllium bronze: high elastic limit, fatigue limit and thermal conductivity, good wear resistance, corrosion resistance, cold resistance, non-magnetic, but expensive, such as thermal spray cores used in molds.
