Japan's manufacturing equipment starts edged up in June after two straight months of sharp declines, according to data released by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Japan's manufacturing equipment start-up rate has been significantly affected since the second quarter due to the outbreak of New Crown Pneumonia, which has continued to decline significantly. Data show that Japan's manufacturing equipment operating rate rose 6.2% month-on-month in June, driven by an increase in production in transportation equipment, production machinery, electrical equipment and information and communications.
