  1. Control the cutting speed.


  The cutting heat of machining magnesium alloy precision parts will increase in the same proportion as the cutting speed, so the cutting speed has a great influence on the cutting temperature. In actual work, the cutting heat generated by different cutting speeds will change the color of the oxide film on the surface of the chip. Therefore, by cutting the color of the oxide film on the magnesium alloy at different cutting speeds, a safe cutting speed can be estimated.



  2. Correct choice of cutting fluid.


  Unless the structure of the machine tool itself is limited, the cutting fluid should always be fully supplied when the magnesium alloy is processed to reduce the chip temperature in time. Taking into account the chemical properties of magnesium, the choice of cutting fluid should avoid the use of flammable, strong oxidizing and high water content liquid, so as to prevent the coolant from burning or reacting with high temperature magnesium chips and exothermic fire.

In addition, the lubricating oil, hydraulic oil, guide rail oil, spindle oil, etc. used in the machine tool are mostly flammable liquids, and the general oil storage is not small, so the magnesium alloy should be specially checked before the precision parts are processed. Prevent oil leakage in advance.
