2. Centerless grinding is deceptively simple and precise.
Since centerless grinders owe much of their function to some basic physical principles, they don't have many moving parts. This makes centerless grinding a relatively simple process, ideal for finishing the outer diameters of small cylindrical metal parts that require strict tolerances.
Centerless grinding is almost continuous because the loading time is small compared to intercenter grinding. Therefore, it can be continuously grinded for long lengths. Even a large number of small parts can be automatically ground by various feeder accessories.
In addition, the centerless grinder can work consistently at high speeds. This makes the process an excellent choice for high-volume applications in aerospace, automotive, military, medical and other industries.
