1. Centerless grinding is picked up from the place where the machining leaves.
The disadvantage of centerless grinding is that, unlike machining, you can't run that many shafts on the workpiece. However, in many parts, centerless processes address the limitations of machining in terms of size, material, and surface finish.
This is why we like to say that the centerless grinding process begins where the machining ends. For example, if your part is not round from the lathe and the diameter of the part is too small or its center cannot be fitted, roundness can be achieved by centerless grinding.
In addition, there is no axial thrust on the workpiece during centerless machining. That means it can be used to grind long pieces of brittle material and parts that can deform.
