The role and type of the top in the processing of precision parts
It is very common for small parts of the machine tool to produce precision parts. Although some small defects will not cause much impact on the entire production and processing, if they occur throughout the production process, their work efficiency may be damaged. The rotary center plays a very important role in the processing of the workpiece by the machine tool, and the rotary center can be rotated and then plugged with the center, which can make the machine run more smoothly.
The role of the top is to center and bear the weight of the workpiece and the cutting force of the tool on the workpiece. The center has a front center and a back center. The front center is inserted into the spindle taper hole and rotates with the spindle; the rear center is inserted into the tailstock sleeve. For example, the turning process of the long axis is to install the workpiece at the two centers.
There are two types of centers: fixed centers and rotary centers, and the rotary centers can be divided into light rotary centers, medium rotary centers, cone rotary centers, and plug-in rotary centers.
The light rotary center is suitable for processing high-speed, light-load precision parts, and has two types: ordinary precision and high precision.
The medium-sized rotary center is suitable for processing with moderate cutting load, and has two types: ordinary precision and high precision.
The cone-shaped rotary center is mainly used for processing pipe sleeve parts, which can withstand higher loads.
The plug-in rotary center has five center plugs with different shapes. The center plug can be selected according to the different conditions of the workpiece processed by precision parts, thereby expanding its range of use.
