The Faults of Anode Oxidation in Aluminum Alloys Are:

Anode oxidation parts treated with the same groove, some of which have no oxidizing film or film layer is thin or incomplete, and some of which have burn-damaged melting at the contact of fixtures and parts. This kind of fault often occurs more in the practice of anode oxidation process, which seriously affects the quality of anode oxidation of aluminum alloy.
Because of the good insulation of aluminum oxide film, aluminum alloy parts must be firmly attached to general or special fixtures before anode oxidation treatment to ensure good conductivity. Conductive rods should be made of copper or copper alloy materials and should ensure sufficient contact area. Where the fixture is in contact with the part, the current must pass freely and the contact marks between the fixture and the part should be minimized. The contact area is too small and the current density is too large, resulting in overheated and burnable parts and fixtures. No oxidation film or membrane layer incomplete phenomenon, mainly due to the fixture and parts contact is not good, poor conductivity or due to the fixture on the oxide film layer is not completely removed.

After the treatment of aluminum alloy anode oxidation, the oxide film is loose powdering or even a touch of the hand off, especially after the filling is closed, the surface of the component appears a serious powder layer, poor corrosion resistance. This kind of failure occurs mostly in summer, especially in the anode tank without cooling device, often after handling 1-2 slot parts, loosening powdering phenomenon will appear, obviously affecting the quality of the oxide film.
Due to the large resistance of aluminum alloy anode oxide film, a large amount of joule heat is generated during the anode oxidation process, and the higher the slot voltage, the greater the heat generated, resulting in a rising electrolyte temperature. Therefore, in the anode oxidation process, the general use of stirring or cooling devices to keep the electrolyte temperature in a certain range. In general, the temperature is controlled at 18-22 degrees C, the oxide film quality is better. If the electrolyte temperature exceeds 30 degrees C, the oxide film will produce loose powdering, the quality of the membrane layer is poor, and in severe cases, the phenomenon of "burning" occurs. Without a cooling device, a 2-3% wide temperature agent can be added to prevent loosening or powdering of the oxide film at temperatures above 30 degrees C. In addition, the anode current density must also be limited, because the anode current density is too high, the temperature rise is intense, the oxide film is also easy to loosen powder or sand grain, the quality of the oxide film is not conducive.
