This article briefly describes several matters needing attention in the processing of aluminum castings. Keywords: cast aluminum alloy; processing. Cast aluminum alloy is an aluminum alloy that is filled with molten metal to obtain various shapes of parts. It has the advantages of low density, high specific strength, good corrosion resistance and casting processability, and less restricted by the structural design of parts. Several common casting molding methods include sand casting, gravity casting, and die casting. The main keywords that affect processing in cast aluminum alloys are: feed inlet, parting surface, slag bag, cutting and grinding, sand core, draft angle, etc. After the blank is cast, the feed inlet, parting surface, slag bag, etc. are usually cut and polished, and these positions must be avoided as machining positioning areas. Because a certain error occurs when the dynamic and fixed molds are closed (see Table 1), when choosing the product positioning reference, the influence of the wrong mold on the processed elements needs to be considered.
