1. The present invention belongs to the technical field of medical devices, and in particular relates to a navigation device for assisting the implantation of an anchorage nail for a maxillary bony expander.

Background technique:

2. Maxillary transverse deficiency (mtd) is a common malocclusion in clinical practice. Lip tilt, widening of the buccal vestibular sulcus gap, etc. The spontaneous correction rate of mtd is very low. If it is not timely and properly corrected, it may lead to periodontal tissue damage, functional displacement of the mandible, joint muscle dysfunction, sleep apnea syndrome and other adverse consequences. System function and facial aesthetics are adversely affected.

3. The maxillary skeletal expander (mse) is an orthodontic treatment device used to solve the lateral hypoplasia of the maxilla (Figure 1). The mse is composed of 3 parts: 1) Helical expander with 4 micro-implant nail placement holes (1.8mm inner diameter, 2mm thickness); 2) 4 extension support arms; 3) Bilateral maxillary first molar cast belt ring . The helical expander is placed near the junction of the soft and hard palate at the back of the upper palate, and the positioning holes at the four corners of the helical expander can guide the implantation of the micro-implant to the correct location and prevent the implant from tilting. The support arm and molar cast ring guide the appliance close to the palatal mucosa and increase stability during arch expansion.
