The mechanical properties of wheel forgings should meet the requirements of room temperature mechanical properties of commonly used steel grades for forgings. The mechanical performance requirements of special steel grades shall be negotiated and determined by the user and the manufacturer.

Test level of wheel forgings: various forgings are classified into I, II, III, IV, and V levels according to the design requirements, working characteristics and purposes, and the test items and the number of tests. The test level of wheel forgings should be indicated on the drawings and the order contract.

The chemical composition of wheel forgings and the chemical composition of steel for wheel forgings shall be based on the results of sampling analysis, and its value shall be determined in accordance with the provisions of the current national standards and ministry standards. The steel grades other than the national standard and ministry standard shall be negotiated and determined by the user and the manufacturer.
