1. Jog the knife
Press the jog button on the control panel of the cnc processing equipment, touch the tip of the tool to the surface of the workpiece (the jog is performed twice in the X and Z directions), the counter is cleared, and then retreated to the initial position to be set ( X, Z design initial value), and then clear it to get the initial position of the knife. Determine the initial position of each knife in turn, and adjust to the exact design position (starting point) after trial processing. This method does not require any auxiliary tools and can be operated at hand, but it takes a long time, especially when the tool must be re-adjusted every time the tool is sharpened.
2. Use tool setting instrument
Nowadays, many lathes are equipped with tool setting instruments. Using the tool setting instruments can avoid the errors caused by measurement and greatly improve the accuracy of the tool setting. Because the tool setting instruments can automatically calculate the length and width of each tool When processing other parts, only the standard knife is needed, which greatly saves time. It should be noted that there is generally no standard tool for tool setting with a tool setting instrument, and the standard tool should be calibrated first. The disadvantage is that the use of the tool setting instrument requires the addition of auxiliary equipment of the tool setting instrument, which has a high cost and laborious loading and unloading.
3. Use CNC tools
After the initial positioning of the CNC machining tool, it will be worn after a period of cutting and needs to be sharpened. The position of the reinstalled tool tip after the ordinary tool has been sharpened has changed, and the tool needs to be re-calibrated. The characteristic of CNC tools is tool manufacturing High accuracy The repeat positioning accuracy of the blade after indexing is about 0.02mm, which greatly reduces the tool setting time. At the same time, the blade is coated with a metal layer (Sic, Tic, etc.) to greatly improve its durability, but the cost is also a bit high.
4. Align the knife with the knife block, and adopt the self-made method
The simple tool setting block made of plastic, plexiglass, etc. can easily realize the repeated positioning of the tool after sharpening, but the positioning accuracy is usually 0.2~0.5mm. It is a quick positioning method, and then adjust It can be very convenient quickly.
