Principle of measurement:

    Ultrasonic level meter works by the transducer (probe) emits a high frequency ultrasonic pulse to encounter the surface of the medium under test is reflected back, and some of the reflected echoes are received by the same transducer and converted into electrical signals. Ultrasonic pulses of ultrasonic level meters travel at the speed of sound waves, and the time interval between emission and receipt of ultrasonic pulses is proportional to the distance between the transducer and the surface of the medium under test. The relationship between this distance value S and the sound speed C and the transmission time T can be expressed in the formula: S-CxT/2.

    Because the ultrasonic pulse emitted has a certain width, the reflection wave in the near segment area of the transducer overlaps with the emission wave, which cannot be recognized and its distance value cannot be measured. This area is called a measurement blind spot. The size of the blind area is related to the type of ultrasonic level meter.

Characteristics:
