To Assist The GreatErin District Construction National Machine Group to Sign Hong Kong's First Integrated Waste Disposal Facility Power Island Project

Recently, China United Engineering Co., Ltd. ("China United") signed a contract for the first phase of the Hong Kong Integrated Waste Treatment Facility Project Power Island EPS (Design, Procurement and Technical Services). The project is the first comprehensive solid waste management facility for the disposal of municipal waste in Hong Kong and is one of the most important environmental protection and livelihood projects in Hong Kong. China will play the advantages of waste disposal power generation technology in the top three in the country, and play a national power for the construction of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Bay Area.

Previously, Hong Kong's waste disposal is mainly landfill, with the landfill gradually saturated, waste disposal problems become more prominent.

After the completion of this project, the project can handle 3000 tons of mixed municipal waste per day, can produce about 480 million kilowatt hours of electricity per year, the output of green energy will be 100,000 households in Hong Kong power supply, can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 440,000 tons per year, and truly realize the reduction of municipal waste, harmless, resource disposal, greatly reduce the pressure of nearly saturated landfills, troubled Hong Kong people's waste disposal problems will be solved.

Located in the south shore of Shigu Chau, far from the urban area of Hong Kong, the project will include the construction of waste incineration power generation facilities, waste sorting and recycling facilities, desalination plants, sewage treatment plants, waste connection terminals and environmental education bases on a new artificial island with an area of about 16 hectares. Because it is a major people's livelihood project, the Hong Kong Government is very careful about the choice of technical service providers for this project, and the requirements are very high on all aspects.

The projects jointly undertaken by China include power island turbine generator sets, air cooling systems and closed-cycle water systems. As an important part of ensuring the normal operation of plant equipment and external power supply, the safety, stability and reliability of this part of the system are very high.
