Duplex stainless steel is essentially a combination of ferritic stainless steel and austenitic stainless steel. The strength is higher than ferritic and austenitic stainless steels. Steels, their nickel content is lower than austenitic steels. Therefore, they are also cheaper than austenitic steels.
