Clients answer RFQ questions more often than we can calculate, "When do you need it?" Use an emphatic "Yesterday! We work in a world where orders must often be filled at a rapid pace. But since faster means more expensive, it's worth considering whether orders really need to be expedited.


If a project is not really done as quickly as possible, and you know the parts will eventually be used, it may be more cost-effective to have ongoing, long-term, blanket orders. This way, a certain number of parts are always on hand and ready to be reordered as needed.
