The improved telescoping rod or telescoping rod of the present invention includes three interconnecting tubes, a first tube, an intermediate tube and an end tube, which may be circular, decagonal, dodecagonal, or other shapes, and includes two Locking assemblies, each having an angled locking pin to securely hold the tube in the desired position. In one embodiment, the tube is made of a durable, lightweight material, such as aluminum, but other materials are possible. Reinforced walls can be provided if required, but not provided.
