The 3D Printing Downstream Automotive Industry Has A Wide Range of FDM Technology

The growth of 3D printing industry is closely related to 3D printing technology. According to data released on June 3, 2020 by Statista, a well-known data company, the most commonly used 3D printing technology worldwide in 2020 is melt deposition modeling (FDM), which 67% of respondents use indoors. Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) is the second most commonly used technology in 2020, with 51% of respondents adopting it through external services. In the downstream applications of 3D printing, according to the Survey of Wohlers Report 2020, the industry that uses 3D printing the most is the automotive industry, accounting for 16.4%. The consumer/electronics sector and aerospace were followed by 15.4 per cent and 14.7 per cent, respectively.
