Study on Oral Drugs in Heartworm Positive Cats
The oral safety of oral medication in heartworm-positive cats was tested in the event of accidental oral ingestion. The maximum topical dose was administered orally to 12 healthy 9-week-old kittens. Excessive salivation (8 of 12 kittens) and vomiting (12 of 12 kittens) were observed immediately after treatment.
