1. Choose suitable venues and warehouses
(1) The site or warehouse for storing steel pipes should be located in a clean and well-drained place, away from factories and mines that produce harmful gases or dust. Weeds and all debris should be removed on the field, and the steel pipe should be kept clean
(2) In the warehouse, it shall not be piled with acid, alkali, salt, cement and other materials that are corrosive to steel pipes. Different types of steel pipes should be stacked separately to prevent confusion and contact corrosion
(3) Large section steel, rails, steel plates, large-diameter steel pipes, forgings, etc. can be stacked in the open air
(4) Small and medium-sized steel bars, wire rods, steel bars, medium-diameter steel pipes, steel wires and wire ropes, etc., can be stored in a well-ventilated material shed, but must be topped and bottomed
(5) Some small steel pipes, thin steel plates, steel strips, silicon steel sheets, small-caliber or thin-wall steel pipes, various cold-rolled and cold-drawn steel pipes, and high-priced and easily corrosive metal products can be stored in storage
(6) The warehouse should be selected according to the geographical conditions. Generally, an ordinary closed warehouse is used, that is, a warehouse with a roof, a fence, tight doors and windows, and a ventilation device.
(7) The warehouse is required to be ventilated on sunny days, and closed to prevent moisture on rainy days, and always maintain a suitable storage environment
2. Reasonable stacking, put first
(1) The principle requirement of stacking is to stack according to varieties and specifications under the conditions of stable stacking and safety. Different types of materials should be stacked separately to prevent confusion and mutual corrosion.
(2) It is prohibited to store items that are corrosive to steel pipes near the stack
(3) The bottom of the stack should be high, firm and flat to prevent the material from being damp or deformed
(4) The same materials are stacked separately according to the order of storage, which is convenient to implement the principle of first-in, first-mover
(5) For section steel stacked in the open air, there must be wooden mats or slabs underneath, and the stacking surface should be slightly inclined to facilitate drainage, and the materials should be placed flat and straight to prevent bending and deformation
(6) Stack height, manual operation does not exceed 1.2m, mechanical operation does not exceed 1.5m, and stack width does not exceed 2.5m
(7) There should be a certain passage between the stack and the stack, and the inspection channel is generally 0. 5m, the access channel depends on the size of the material and the transportation machinery, generally 1.5~2. Om
(8) Raise the bottom of the stack. If the warehouse is a sunny cement floor, raise O. 1m is enough; if it is muddy, it must be raised by O. 2~0.5m. If it is an open field, the cement floor shall be elevated by O·3~O·5m, and the sand and mud surface shall be elevated by 0.5~O. 7m
(9) The angle steel and channel steel stacked in the open should be laid down, that is, the I-beam should be placed upright with the mouth facing down, and the I-slot surface of the steel pipe should not face up to avoid rusting due to the accumulation of water.
3. Protect the packaging and protective layer of the material. The preservative or other coating and packaging applied by the steel factory before leaving the factory are important measures to prevent the material from being corroded. It must be protected during transportation and handling. It cannot be damaged and the storage period of the material can be extended.
4. Keep the warehouse clean and strengthen material maintenance
(1) Before entering the warehouse, the materials should be prevented from being rained or mixed with impurities. The materials that have been rained or contaminated should be cleaned by different methods according to their properties, such as a wire brush with high hardness and a cloth with low hardness. , Cotton, etc.
(2) The materials should be checked frequently after they are put into storage. If there is rust, the rust layer should be removed
(3) After the surface of general steel pipe is cleaned, it is not necessary to apply oil, but for high-quality steel, alloy thin steel plate, thin-walled pipe, alloy steel pipe, etc., after rust removal, the inner and outer surfaces need to be coated with anti-rust oil before storage
(4) For steel pipes with severe corrosion, they should not be stored for a long time after derusting and should be used as soon as possible.
