When making elbows with seam pipes, the welding seam should avoid the hand (pressing) area. The metal pipe should be cold-bent or hot-bent within the allowable range of its material properties. When high-alloy steel pipes or non-ferrous metal pipes are used to make elbows, mechanical methods should be adopted; when sand is allowed to make elbows, hammers should not be used.
