SMALL TUBE DRAWING

The last consideration when choosing a tube is how the tube is drawn or manufactured. The three basic methods or types of pipes are seamless, welded, and welded drawing. Seamless pipes are made by punching holes in a blank and drawing the material to a certain size. This method can be used to form very thin-walled pipes or very thick-walled pipes. The welding material starts from a flat plate and is rolled and welded to form a fairly obvious seam. Welding and drawing the tube start in the same way, however, it is drawn after rolling. This means passing the plug through the inside of the tube to smooth the seam. If necessary, this step can be performed multiple times to produce a better finish on the inner diameter.
