A sliding bearing is a bearing that works under sliding friction. Sliding bearings operate smoothly, reliablely and noise-free. In liquid lubrication conditions, the sliding surface is separated by lubricant without direct contact, but also can greatly reduce friction loss and surface wear, oil film also has a certain vibration absorption capacity. However, the starting friction resistance is larger. The part of the shaft that is supported by the bearing is called the shaft neck, and the part that matches the shaft neck is called the shaft tile. In order to improve the frictional properties of the axon surface, the moth-reducing material layer cast on its inner surface is called a bearing lining. The material of the shaft tile and bearing lining is collectively referred to as the sliding bearing material. Sliding bearing applications are generally under high-speed light-load conditions.

Sliding bearings are operated by sliding friction, the size of the sliding friction depends mainly on the manufacturing accuracy, and the size of the friction of the sliding bearing depends mainly on the material of the bearing sliding surface. The general working surfaces of sliding bearings are self-lubricating and sliding bearings are divided into non-metallic sliding bearings and metal sliding bearings according to the material.

Non-metallic sliding bearings are mainly plastic bearings, plastic bearings are generally made of engineering plastic with better performance, more professional manufacturers generally have engineering plastic self-lubricating modification technology, through fibers, special lubricants, glass beads and so on to the engineering plastic self-lubricating to enhance the modification to achieve a certain performance, and then use modified plastic through injection molding into self-lubricated plastic bearings.

Metal sliding bearings are currently used the most is three-layer composite bearings, this bearing is generally based on carbon steel plate, through sintering technology on the steel plate first sintered a layer of spherical copper powder, and then sintered on the copper powder layer about 0.03mm FE PT lubricant.
