CNC lathe is a high-precision, high-efficiency automatic machine tool. The use of CNC lathe can improve processing efficiency and create more value. The emergence of CNC lathe has made enterprises get rid of backward processing technology.
The processing technology of CNC lathe is similar to that of ordinary lathe, but because CNC lathe is a kind of clamping, continuous and automatic processing completes all turning processes, so the following aspects should be paid attention to.
Reasonable selection of cnc machining cutting parameters
For efficient metal cutting, processing materials, tools, and cutting conditions are the three main factors. These factors determine the processing time, tool life and processing quality. An economical and effective processing method must be a reasonable choice of cutting conditions.
cnc processing
Three factors of cutting conditions: cutting speed, feed and depth of cut directly lead to tool damage. As the cutting speed increases, the temperature of the tool tip increases, leading to mechanical, chemical and thermal wear. Increasing the cutting speed by 20% reduces the tool life by 1/2.
The relationship between feed conditions and tool wear is very small. However, when the material is fed, the cutting temperature rises and wears later. Its impact on the tool is smaller than the cutting speed. Although the cutting depth has less influence on the tool than the cutting speed and feed rate, when cutting at a small cutting depth, the hardened layer produced by the cutting material will also affect the life of the tool.
The user should select the cutting speed according to the material, hardness, cutting state, material type, feed rate, cutting depth, etc.
Select the most suitable processing conditions based on these factors. The ideal state is regular and stable wear to reach life.
But in actual operation, the choice of tool life is related to tool wear, dimensional changes, surface quality, cutting noise, and processing heat. When determining the processing conditions, research should be conducted according to the actual situation. For refractory materials such as stainless steel and heat-resistant alloys, coolant or hard blades can be used.
