The following processing capabilities enable us to effectively serve our energy customers:
• Multi-axis CNC turning: We have multiple machining centers to provide large diameter turning. Our turning services meet ASME, ISO, RoHS and MIL-Spec standards. Dynamic tools help us improve efficiency by eliminating secondary operations.
• CNC Milling: Our advanced vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers enable us to efficiently complete complex milling operations. These machining centers also enable us to achieve precise tolerances and dimensions for complex components.
• Precision CNC machining: Our facilities include all state of the art advanced machining equipment, enabling us to offer a wide range of precision machining services including countersinks and countersinks, internal and external threading, turning, tapping, etc.
The materials we use
Our deep knowledge of materials helps us deliver durable components to our customers. At BDE, we often use the following materials:
• Alloy steel: As the name implies, these include various types of steel alloys that are widely used in energy and other industries. Most steel alloys have good tensile strength, toughness and ductility. In addition, these steels have excellent wear resistance and strength properties. Most energy companies use alloy steel components in applications where excellent strength and corrosion resistance are required.
• Brass: This is a non-magnetic material used for strength applications as well as construction components where electrical conductivity is required. Brass parts are used in energy applications because of their strength and visual appeal.
• Mild steel: It is a magnetic material and tends to rust when exposed to environmental factors. Carbon steel is easy to work and can be used in applications requiring high strength.
• Plastics: Most plastics are easy to process for energy applications that require excellent corrosion resistance, weight, transparency and low friction. We use all kinds of industrial grade plastics.
• Stainless steel: It is a strong material, resistant to corrosion and non-magnetic. Most stainless steel grades have excellent strength for outdoor applications. We manufacture stainless steel parts for outdoor use.
• Monel: It is an age-hardened nickel and copper alloy that provides excellent mechanical properties over a wide temperature range from minus zero to 480 °C. We regularly process parts made from Monel alloy for use in Marine and chemical environments.
