4. The four implant anchorage screws of mse are implanted into the maxillary cortex to fix the position of the arch expander and transmit the expanding force generated by the device to the maxilla, so as to achieve the purpose of bony arch expansion ( figure 2). The position and orientation of the anchorage nails play a crucial role in the correct positioning and function of the mse. In clinical application, clinicians need to manually implant 4 micro-implantation nails (1.8 mm in diameter, 9, 11, and 13 mm in length) into the seating holes, and keep them parallel to each other in the lateral direction. The anterior two are slightly anteriorly inclined to implant in the area near the palatal curve with thicker bone, and the two posterior ones are implanted into the area with thinner bone to penetrate the double cortical bone. However, due to the difficulty of this operation, the technical level of clinicians is not uniform, and problems such as improper placement of implant nails and poor parallelism often occur during the treatment process, which affect the effectiveness of mse.
5. At present, the implant guide device is often used in the implantation of oral implantation and other operations
