Martensitic stainless steels are similar in structure to ferritic stainless steels

Martensitic stainless steels are similar in structure to ferritic stainless steels, the only real difference is their carbon percentage. Although the carbon percentage in ferritic stainless steel remains below 0.10%, the carbon percentage in martensitic stainless steel hovers around 1%.
