For obvious reasons, the shipbuilding industry needs high quality surface finish and carefully selected materials. In the industries described above, systems are exposed to harsh environmental conditions. Therefore, manufacturing components and parts with excellent corrosion resistance is critical. At Pride we have the ability to process complex parts and components from a variety of materials.

Pride's different material choices

The various components of Marine systems are made from a variety of corrosion-resistant materials. We use the following materials:

1. Marine grade stainless steel: there are different grades of stainless steel. However, in the shipbuilding industry, Marine grade 316 stainless steel materials are used. Its resistance to chloride, bromide, sulfuric acid and iodide makes it suitable for the above industries. In addition, it is resistant to corrosion when exposed to seawater.

2, aluminum alloy: 5XXX and 6XXX series of aluminum alloy is suitable for Marine applications. We are capable of handling the most commonly used 5052, 5083, 6061-T6, 6082, 6061, 6005A and 6060 aluminum alloys in the industry.

3. Titanium alloy: Ti6Al4V, also known as Ti-6Al-4V, or simply Ti 6-4, is a titanium alloy, mainly used in Marine applications. This titanium alloy is noted for its strength and corrosion resistance.

These materials can work in harsh environmental conditions, which is a basic requirement of the Marine industry.

1. Precision CNC machining - all kinds of parts needed by the shipbuilding industry are made by precision CNC machining provided by us. For precision machining, we use a variety of tools and equipment, such as turning centers with power tools, vertical machining centers, horizontal and vertical band saws, honing machines, cold saws and similar equipment. These devices and tools help us perform spline, face, profile, and other operations. We can process titanium and aluminum alloys which are most widely used in the shipbuilding industry.

2. CNC Turning and Milling - The turning and milling services we provide are vital to the shipbuilding industry. We can turn and mill titanium and aluminium alloys using advanced high quality machines in our factory. CNC lathes, horizontal and vertical milling machines, tool beds and CNC turning centers are some of the advanced equipment we use in the industry for drilling, threading, hard turning, peripheral milling and a variety of other operations.

3. CNC machining of Large Parts -- In the shipbuilding industry, large parts are usually manufactured. In addition, these parts should be manufactured with high precision. Our CNC machining service for large parts solves this problem. Our extensive experience allows the manufacture of large parts to achieve tight tolerances. We are capable of manufacturing large parts with complex designs using our 3 and 4 axis vertical and horizontal machining equipment.
