JTEKT Has Successfully Developed Corrosion-resistant Bearings for Electric Vehicle Drive Motors

JTEKT has successfully developed bearings for electric vehicles (eVs below) and hybrid vehicles (HV below) to drive motor, which prevent electrical erosion when current passes through the bearing scent. The new product developed by Jetegt successfully prevents electrical corrosion by applying a special coating to the outer diameter of the outer ring and the outer ring end face of the general bearing steel, so that the bearing has an insulation function. Compared to current products, our goal is to use new, low-cost and maintenance-free technologies for a wide range of EV and HV vehicles.
