Japan's manufacturing sector's overseas operating income fell 32.2% year-on-year to $202.4 billion, according to a Survey of Overseas Local Legal Persons released by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry on September 25, 2020. It fell for six consecutive quarters, the second-highest decline since January-March 2009 after the Lehman crisis. Car sales in the U.S. and other countries have been sluggish as a result of the new crown outbreak.
