According to its characteristics and different application areas, gas springs are also called support rods, gas support, anglers, pressure rods, dampers and so on. According to the structure and function of the gas spring classification, gas spring has a free-form gas spring, self-locking gas spring, traction gas spring, random stop gas spring, swivel air spring, pressure rod, damper and so on. The product in the automotive, aviation, medical equipment, furniture, machinery manufacturing and other fields have a wide range of applications.
1. the free gas spring (Lift gas spring) is the most widely used gas spring. It mainly acts as a supporting force, with only the shortest and longest two positions, which cannot stop on its own during the trip. In the automotive, textile machinery, printing equipment, office equipment, construction machinery and other industries are the most widely used. Free-type gas spring with its light, smooth work, easy to operate, preferential prices and so on, in the automotive, construction machinery, printing machinery, textile equipment and other industries to wide-ranging applications. Or high cold environment, acidic or alkaline environment.
2.self-locking gas spring (angler, controlled gas spring) is used most in medical devices. This gas spring can be stopped anywhere in the stroke with the help of some release mechanism, and after stopping there is a large locking force (up to 10000N or more).
3.the random stop gas spring (friction gas spring, balanced gas spring) is mainly used in kitchen furniture, medical equipment and other fields. It features between a free-form gas spring and a self-locking gas spring: no external structure is required and can be parked anywhere in the stroke, but no additional locking force. The effect is mainly achieved through the controller (handle or cable). This can also be achieved by the telescopic of the piston rod. When the controller is adjusted to stop at the desired position, the valve closes independently and the piston rod is locked at the desired position. Locking is achieved when a lock occurs. However, if the locking force is exceeded, the locking function will no longer be valid.
4. the swivel chair gas spring (pressure bar) is mainly used in the swivel chair, the role of adjusting position. It is characterized by control, the demand is relatively large.
5. Traction gas spring (Gas traction spring) is a special gas spring: other gas springs are in the longest position when they are in a free state, i.e. they are moving from the longest position to the shortest position after being subjected to external forces, while the free state of the traction gas spring is in the shortest position and the traction is running from the shortest to the longest position. Traction gas spring also has the corresponding free type, self-locking type and so on.
Dampers are used more in both automobiles and medical equipment, characterized by resistance that changes with the speed of operation. The speed of the connected mechanism can be clearly cushioned. The damper is mainly used to act as a buffer, and its greatest characteristic is that the force of the gas spring changes with the speed of motion. The resistance of the spring increases significantly when the force of the guide gas spring moves at a faster time, and when the action point movement is very slow, the resistance is almost non-existent. Dampers are mainly used in washing machines, refrigerators and other industries.
In addition, from the material also has ordinary steel gas spring and stainless steel gas spring. Ordinary steel spring use is the largest, stainless steel gas spring is used in more demanding environmental places, such as food machinery, medical equipment, military industry, high temperature characteristics and applications.
