On Aug. 2( According to foreign media reports, Apple's foundry makers Foxconn, Andsu and Weitron are applying to participate in India's $6.6 billion manufacturing incentive program (PLI) in search of subsidies to increase smartphone production in India. For some time now, India has been pushing the PLI program, which aims to attract big manufacturers to increase production of smartphones in India. According to the Indian government, Foxconn, Andsu, and Weitron, Samsung and others will participate in the plan.
