For dogs over 100 pounds, use the appropriate combination of these flavored chews

Only remove one flavored chewable tablet from the foiled blister card at a time. Because most dogs find the deworming flavored chewables delicious, the product can be offered to dogs by hand. Alternatively, it can be added to a small amount of dog food as is, or placed in the back of the dog's mouth to force swallowing.

Dogs should be noted to consume the full dose and the treated animal should be observed for several minutes after administration to ensure that part of the dose is not lost or rejected. If any dose is suspected to have been lost, re-dosing is recommended.

Deworming-flavored chewable tablets should be given monthly during the year when mosquitoes (vectors), which may carry infectious heartworm larvae, are active. The initial dose must be given within one month (30 days) of the dog's first mosquito exposure. The final dose must be given within one month (30 days) of the dog's last mosquito exposure.

When switching to another heartworm prevention product in a heartworm prevention program, the first dose of Iverhart Plus Flavored Chewable Tablets must be given within one month (30 days) of the last dose.

The efficacy of ivermectin may be reduced if the dosing interval exceeds one month (30 days). Therefore, for optimal performance, flavored chewable tablets must be given once a month on or about the same day of each month. If treatment is delayed, either by a few days or more, immediate treatment with Iverhart Plus flavored chewable tablets and resumption of the recommended dosing regimen can minimize the chance of developing heartworm in adults.

Monthly treatment with a deworming flavored chewable tablet is also effective in treating and controlling roundworms (T. canis, T. leonina) and hookworms (A. caninum, U. stenocephala, A. braziliense).
