Finnish Manufacturing Orders Fell Nearly 30% in July

New orders for manufacturing fell 28.5 per cent in July from a year earlier, according to Statistics Finland. From January to July, total orders fell by 14.3% from 2019. The biggest declines were in the metals and paper sectors, both of which fell by more than 30 per cent. Orders in the chemical industry fell about 8%. In July 2020, adjusted industrial output fell by 6.1% year-on-year, but by 0.9% month-on-month.
