Six basic common sense of CNC grinder


   Grinding methods can be divided into cylindrical grinding, internal grinding, centerless grinding, surface grinding, form grinding, gear grinding, thread grinding, east-west grinding, general lathe surface grinding, etc. Corresponding numerical control grinding methods are playing an increasingly important role in grinding processing with the development of numerical control technology.


   CNC grinder can process some special parts that cannot be processed on general grinders (such as shaft parts with special curves, special-shaped parts with more than three coordinate requirements, molds, etc.), so it has a wide range of processed parts. In order to maximize the economic benefits of CNC grinding machines, the following processing objects can be given priority.


   (1) Parts that are repeatedly put into production are more profitable


  The preparatory man-hours of the process using the CNC grinder occupy a relatively high share. For example, preparation of process analysis, programming, first adjustment and test cutting of parts, etc.


The sum of these summarized man-hours is often dozens to hundreds of times the man-hours of a single part. However, the contents of these CNC lathe operations (such as special general lathe tools, process files, programs, etc.) can be stored and used repeatedly. When the parts are successfully trial-produced on the CNC grinder and then put into production again, the production cycle is greatly reduced, the cost is less, and better economic benefits can be obtained.


  (2) It is required to focus on ensuring the quality of processing and the key parts of small and medium batches that can be efficiently produced


  Control grinding machine can realize high precision, high quality and high efficiency grinding process under computer control. Compared with special grinding machine processing, it can save a lot of special process equipment, has strong flexible manufacturing capacity and achieves better economic benefits.


   Compared with general grinders, it can remove many artificial disturbing elements in the long process flow of messy processing, and the accuracy of the processed parts is good, the interchangeability is good, and the processing efficiency is high.

   (3) The processing batch of parts should be larger than the batch of general grinders


   In the non-CNC grinding machine processing medium and small batch parts, due to various reasons, the pure cutting time only accounts for 10%-30% of the actual working hours. When machining on a CNC grinding machine with multiple processes such as a grinding machining center, this share may rise to 70%-80%, but the pre-adjustment work hours are often much longer, so the parts batch will change if the batch is too small. It's not economical.


  (4) The processed parts should fit the technological characteristics of the multi-process integrated processing of the CNC grinder


When the CNC grinding machine processes parts, the condition of the grinding wheel cutting workpiece is completely the same as that of the corresponding non-CNC grinding machine, but it can perform some compound processing with machining accuracy requirements. For example, in the grinding range, the general grinding machine is mainly used for grinding cylindrical surfaces The end face of, tapered or stepped shoulder is generally ground by a grinder.


   CNC cylindrical grinder can also grind toroidal surfaces (including convex and concave surfaces), as well as the above-mentioned various forms of messy combined surfaces.


  (5) The balance of part induction processing ability


  As a single CNC grinder, it is difficult to complete all the processing content of a part. It needs to be coordinated with the processing procedures of other equipment, so there is a requirement for the balance of production cycle and workshop production capacity.


   Therefore, it is necessary to give full play to the processing characteristics of CNC grinders, and the CNC grinders should reasonably organize supporting and balancing procedures on other processing equipment.


   (6) Considerations for processing some special parts


Although some parts are processed in small batches, general lathes have messy shapes, high quality, and good interchangeability. This cannot meet the above requirements on non-CNC grinders. They can only be processed on CNC grinders, such as parabolic and cycloid cams. And special-shaped mirror mirror surface, etc.
