CNC machining considerations
A. Mold and product cooperation
①The cooperative positioning of the upper and lower shells is guaranteed by the stop. The general service of the concave stop and the convex stop is generally 0.1
②The appearance of the accessories (such as transparent mirrors) on the large shell body is 0.1-0.2 smaller than the size of the large body on one side.
③The shape of the movable accessories (such as buttons) on the big body is 0.1-0.5 smaller than the shape of the big body on one side
④ If the surface shape of the accessory is the same as the surface shape of the body, it can be trimmed from the corresponding position on the body surface.
B. Selection of the cutting point
When programming the tool path, you can place the tool at the specified height and orientation. When the first tool is just started, the amount of tooling is often relatively large, which is likely to cause the tool to break or snap the tool. At this time, you can open the lower tool position thickly or evenly. The first layer of the knife is empty, try to cut the knife outside the material, this problem must be paid attention to.
C. Grab a knife, flick a knife, drop a knife
This phenomenon often occurs when the feed amount is large, the tool clamping length is too long, and the tool diameter is small.
When the corner radius is the same as the tool radius, it is easy to show inaccurate dimensions when machining, which is called grabbing-you can use a smaller diameter knife to clear the corner layer by layer, and then change to a larger tool for side processing. When the depth is lower and larger, it can be processed in layers.
D. Overcut check
Overcutting is a frequently presented problem, which should be paid special attention to. The solution is to simulate the tool path again, and repeat the inspection in various angles of view. The tool path that has not been checked is not allowed to be machined. When contour milling, the wrong cutting point selection will cause overcutting, which can be avoided by changing the cutting point.

E. The contents of the computer gong processing sheet
In order to facilitate communication with the operator, the processing list (program paper) should include:
①NC program name
②Tool type
③Tool diameter
④Tool clamping length
⑤Machining allowance
⑥ Type of tool path (thick or light knife)
⑦ Original graphic file name (e.g. cnc1c:mc9acb01s.mc9)
⑧If there are special processing requirements, please attach a schematic diagram
F. Tool clamping length
refers to the length of the tool remaining outside the tool chuck after it is clamped by the chuck. It should be installed as short as possible to improve the rigidity under the condition that no collision occurs.
