Reasonable selection of stainless steel materials and correct heat treatment process can improve the surface performance of stainless steel forgings and greatly increase the service life of forgings. However, the commonly used forgings made of martensitic stainless steel, the martensitic stainless steel with low carbon content has better overall toughness, but the surface hardness is not high, and the wear resistance is poor; while the high-carbon martensitic stainless steel has higher surface hardness. High, good abrasion resistance, but poor overall toughness, and it is prone to brittle fracture in use. The commonly used austenitic stainless steel has good corrosion resistance, but due to low surface hardness, poor wear resistance, and cannot be strengthened by phase transformation methods, most austenitic stainless steel forgings fail prematurely due to severe wear.
