Precision-machined aluminum parts are becoming the choice of many industries. Aluminum is one of the most popular materials due to its excellent mechanical properties. These include affordability, flexibility, durability and corrosion resistance. Today, precision-machined aluminum parts are becoming more and more popular in aerospace, military, medical, and industrial engineering. Aluminum CNC machining uses special technology and CNC machines because it requires precision.
Big sheet provides aluminum CNC machining services
• Precision machining: Our factory is equipped with a variety of CNC machine tools, including CNC lathes, turning centers with movable tools, horizontal and vertical band saws, etc. This helps us produce precision-machined CNC parts.
• CNC milling and turning: We have equipment with 3, 2, 3 + 2 and 5 mechanical axes, which helps us provide end-to-end CNC milling and turning services. In addition, we can provide sub-operations such as knurling, milling, drilling, etc.
• EDM: We use EDM to produce high-precision machine parts. In addition, we have the ability to provide a maximum 45 degree tapered cut.
We use the following aluminum species:
• Aluminum 6061: Due to its excellent mechanical properties and weldability, it is one of the most popular aluminum grades. Aluminum 6061 is most often extruded because of its typical characteristics (for example, good toughness, medium to high strength, excellent corrosion resistance in harsh environments, easy anodization, and good workability). Aluminum 6061 is widely used for 5-axis CNC machining.
• Aluminum 7075: This is a popular brand after 6061. Aluminum 7075 is known for its excellent fatigue strength. This grade is not easy to weld and is one of the extremely expensive variants available. Therefore, it is most commonly used for tough parts such as aircraft wings and fuselages, bicycle parts, and climbing equipment. This alloy has better corrosion resistance than aluminum 2000 alloy. In most cases, machine operations are performed using oil lubricants.
• 2024 Aluminum: Due to its mechanical properties, such as high fatigue resistance, high strength and sensitivity to thermal shock, this alloy is widely used in aerospace and military applications. Aluminum 2024 is not easy to weld and has poor corrosion resistance.
• Aluminum 5052: This non-heat treatable alloy is commonly used in construction machinery parts and components used in salt water environments. Aluminum 5052 has good resistance to ocean, salt water and industrial environments. The alloy can be easily stamped, bent and sheared into the desired shape.
• Aluminum 6063: This alloy has excellent mechanical properties, such as easy weldability, heat treatment and durability. Aluminum 6063 is used in aluminum extrusion applications. This alloy is commonly used to create complex shapes with smooth surfaces, and is commonly used in applications such as door frames, window frames, sign frames, roofs, etc.
