Classification and use of elbows

1. Definition of elbow

As the name implies, the elbow is a kind of bent pipe. It consists of a complete set of bending equipment, through a special process to bend metal or plastic pipes as required. Generally, the bending process of the elbow is divided into two types: cold simmering and hot pushing.

The classification of elbows is different according to different standards

(1) According to manufacturing standards: national standard, electric standard, water standard, ship standard, chemical standard, French standard, Japanese standard, American standard, etc.

(2) According to pressure standards: Sch5s, Sch10s, Sch10, Sch20, Sch30, Sch40, Sch60, Sch80, XS, Sch80s, Sch40s, Sch100, Sch120, Sch140, Sch160, XXS.

(3) According to material standards: carbon steel, cast steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminum alloy, plastic, argon leaching, PVC, PPR, etc.   

(4) Divided according to the production method: pushing, pressing, forging, casting, etc.

(5) According to different shapes and uses: grooved elbow, ferrule elbow, double bearing elbow, flange elbow, reducing elbow, seated elbow, internal and external tooth elbow, stamping elbow Head, push elbow, socket elbow, butt welding elbow, inner wire elbow, etc.

 3. The purpose of the elbow

The elbow is an important part of industrial equipment. Its purpose is similar to that of an elbow. In order to have a certain bending angle for the pipe, its function is to smooth the transition of the pipe bend, and the angle is generally greater than 120 degrees.
