Calculation of reducer size

i is the planetary reducer deceleration Ratio; D is the index circle diameter of the output gear meshing with the rack, in mm; v fast is the fast forward speed of the machine tool feed axis, in m/s.

According to the selected output helical gear modulus m=3, the number of teeth z=35 and the oblique angle ɑ=19°31′42″ (that is, 19.5283°) these parameters can be used to obtain the index circle diameter D of the helical gear .
