Generate tool paths and edit processing parameters
CNC machining technology is controlled by the computer to execute the machine tool, and transfer instructions by parameterization. 1) Select the tool and edit the processing parameters. Import the spare A file into the CAM-Pm software and check whether the graph is a closed loop. If the contour line of the component fails to form a closed loop, it needs to be re-imported into CAD or Rhin software for re-editing until a closed loop is formed. The case selection tool is divided into 2 steps: Step 1, select a 5mm straight knife to drill the "inside right angle" position of each part, the processing depth is 19mm; Step 2, select 8mm straight knife to process the inner and outer contours of each part. Since the cutting depth of the tool is 19mm, if only one cut is performed, the tool will encounter huge resistance during its advancement. In order to reduce the probability of cutting interruption, the cutting is carried out in 2 times, that is, the cutting depth is 9.5mm each time. As shown in Figure 5, select processing tools and edit processing parameters. The cutting feed speed is judged according to the hardness of the base material. If the base material is hard, the feed speed should be appropriately slowed down, otherwise, the feed speed should be increased. 2) Editing and optimizing the tool path Select the machining tool and machining parameters so that the machining path can be edited.
The cutting direction follows the principle of "outer edge counterclockwise, inner wall clockwise", as shown in Figure 6. The tool path automatically generated by the CAM-Pm software according to the machining tool direction often needs to be optimized to maximize the machining efficiency, that is, to reduce the idle path of the tool during machine operation. Figure 7 shows the processing sequence of the optimized processing tool: drilling (at Y)-handle hole (at L)-the outer contour of the part-decomposing to get the part 4. The processing sequence of the handle hole on part 1 should immediately follow the drilling process. This is because when the part 1 is cut from the base material, its vacuum suction area is sharply reduced, in order to prevent the handle hole from being processed
