How to learn how to cut off CNC machining factories in a short time!

Grooving and cutting in parts CNC processing plants belong to turning applications, and are relatively common machining processes in the machining industry. Throughout the grooving and cutting process, the knife selection and application aspects are quite particular. So, today I will talk to you about cutting and grooving.

Cut off:

1. Select the tool

When cutting pipes, workpieces and bars, it is important to reduce the cutting force and save the material. Therefore, the blade should be as narrow as possible, and the groove shape can make the cutting narrower than the groove. In this way, good cutting control and surface finish can be obtained.

2. How to apply

The blade should be as narrow as possible. This can help save materials and reduce cutting forces, but also reduce environmental pollution. If possible, avoid cutting to the center. Reduce the feed amount by 75% before cutting to the center of the workpiece 2mm, so that the tool life can be maximized. Stop the cutting process about 1mm before approaching the center of the workpiece, and the part will fall due to its own weight and length.

Precautions for cutting processing:

1. Set the height of the blade tip to a position 0.1 to 0.2 mm higher than the center point.

2. Be sure to use wet machining and ensure that enough cutting fluid flows to the blade tip.

3. The recommended processing is to use a fixed rotating tree to stabilize the life of the tool.

4. As close as possible to the clamping point when cutting.

5. When the cutting process is close to the center, please reduce the feed amount to 1/2 to 3/1 to avoid the impact during cutting.

2.1. Cutting to pre-drilled hole

Be sure to drill deep enough not to affect the lateral forces. Force on the blade at a sharp corner may cause the blade to crack and inconsistent tool life.

2.2. Cutting off small-diameter bars and cutting thin-walled tubes

Try to use the smallest width and sharpest blade to ensure the best possible force.

2.3. Cutting without flash

Use right-handed or left-handed sharpened blades with front corners to avoid or reduce flash. Note that the large rake angle reduces flash, but may produce an uneven surface and may result in poorer surface finish and shorter tool life. Use the smallest possible front corner. 2.4. Cutting of pipe fittings

Use the narrowest possible blade to save material, reduce cutting forces and reduce environmental pollution.

2.5. No burr cut

Use right-hand or left-hand precision blades with front corners to avoid or reduce burrs.
