Handling of the failure of the in-forward drive system
According to statistics, the failure rate of this part is about l/3 of the total failure rate of CNC machine tools. There are three broad categories of fault phenomena:
Software alarm phenomenon: including servo input system error alarm (mostly caused by speed control unit failure or main printed circuit board with position control or servo signal related parts of the failure), detection elements (such as speed generator, rotary transformer or pulse encoder, etc.) failure, detection signal caused by failure, overheat alarm (including servo unit overheating, transformer overheating and servo motor overheating) and so on.
Hardware alarm phenomena include high-voltage alarm (unstable grid voltage), high current alarm (damaged thyscrybrae tube), low voltage alarm (mostly 85% of input voltage below rated value or poor power cord connection), overload alarm (mechanical load is too large), speed feedback disconnect alarm, protection switch action is wrong, etc. These faults should be treated separately in the treatment on a case-by-case basis.
Fault phenomena shown without alarm: including machine control, machine vibration, machine tool overstorm (improper parameter setting), too much noise (fault in motor), fast-forward instability and other phenomena. These faults should be from the inspection speed control unit, parameter settings, transmission sub-gap, foreign body immersion, motor axial movement, brush contact and other aspects to find the source of the fault.
