Stainless Steel Processing Precautions
(1) Storage, lifting and transportation.
Stainless steel storage: There should be a special storage frame, storage rack should be wood or surface painted carbon steel bracket or mat with rubber mats, in order to be isolated from carbon steel and other metal materials. When storing, the storage location should be convenient for lifting, and other material storage areas in relative isolation, should have protective measures to avoid dust, oil, rust on stainless steel pollution. Stainless steel lifting: when lifting, should use special lifting gear, such as lifting straps, special chucks, etc. , strictly prohibit the use of wire rope to avoid scratching the surface;
Stainless steel transport: when transporting, the use of means of transport (such as cars, electric vehicles, etc.), and should be clean and isolated protection against dust, oil, rust pollution of stainless steel. Procrastination is strictly prohibited to avoid bumps and scratches.
(ii) Processing.
Processing area: Stainless steel parts should be relatively fixed processing area. Platforms in stainless steel processing areas should be isolated, such as rubber mats. The fixed management and civilized production of stainless steel parts processing area should be strengthened to avoid damage and pollution to stainless steel parts.
Underseed: stainless steel parts of the material using shearing or plasma cutting, sawing and so on.
(1) Shearing: when shearing, should be isolated from the feed bracket, the drop hopper should also be paved with rubber mats, to avoid scratching.
(2) Plasma cutting: plasma cutting, slag should be cleaned up. When cutting in bulk, the site should be cleaned in time for completed parts to avoid staining the work pieces by cutting slag.
(3) Saw cutting material: saw cutting material, clamping should be rubber protection, sawing should be cleaned of oil on the work pieces, residue and so on.
Mechanical processing: stainless steel parts in the car, milling and other mechanical processing should also pay attention to protection, work should be completed to clean up the surface of the work piece of oil, iron chips and other debris.
Molding processing: in the courical plate, bending process, should take effective measures to avoid causing stainless steel surface scratches and creases.
Riveting: Stainless steel parts in the group pair, should avoid forced assembly, especially to avoid flame baking school assembly. When plasma cutting is temporarily used in group pair or production process, isolation measures should be taken to avoid contamination of other stainless steel parts by cutting slag. After cutting, the slag on the work piece should be cleaned.
Welding: stainless steel parts must be carefully removed before welding oil, rust, dust and other debris. Welding when trying to use arc welding, the use of manual arc welding should use small current, fast welding, to avoid swinging. It is strictly forbidden to arc in non-welded areas, the ground line position is appropriate, the connection is strong, in order to avoid arc abrasion. Anti-splash measures (e.g. whitewashing ash) should be taken when welding. After welding, apply stainless steel (no carbon steel) flat shovels to thoroughly clean up slag and splashes.
Multi-layer welding: When multi-layer welding, inter-layer slag must be removed. When welding in multiple layers, the temperature between layers should be controlled, generally not more than 60 degrees C.
Welds: Weld joints should be repaired, weld surface must not have slag, pores, bite edges, splashes, cracks, unmelted, unwelded and other defects, welds and mother material should be smooth transition, not lower than the master material.
Orthopaedics: The orthopaedic parts of stainless steel should avoid the use of flame heating methods, especially do not allow repeated heating of the same area. When orthopaedic, try to use mechanical devices, or hammer with a wooden hammer (rubber hammer) or pad rubber pad, do not use a hammer hammer to avoid damage to stainless steel parts.
(iii) Surface treatment.
Clean and polish: If there is damage should be polished, especially with carbon steel parts contact caused by scratches and splashes, slag damage must be carefully and thoroughly cleaned and polished.
Mechanical polishing: To use appropriate polishing tools for polishing, the treatment is required to be uniform and avoid over-throwing and re-scratching.
Oil dust removal: stainless steel parts in the acid washing passivation, must be in accordance with the process to remove oil, oxide skin, dust and other debris.
Water blast treatment: according to different treatment requirements, the selection of different micro-glass beads, different process parameters, and avoid overspout.
Acid wash passivation: the passivation of stainless steel parts must be carried out in strict accordance with the process requirements of passivation.
Cleaning and drying: after the passivation of the pickle, should be carried out in strict accordance with the process of mid-level, flushing, drying, completely remove the residual acid.
Protection: Stainless steel surface treatment, should do a good job of protection, to avoid personnel caressing and oil, dust and other debris secondary pollution.
Avoid reprocessing: After the surface treatment of stainless steel parts, the part or product should be avoided from reprocessing.
